Utah - Zion Half Marathon - April 2018 Itinerary

Itinerary

Thurs 4/26 

SFO -> LAS 
Pick up Rental Car Alamo (Perkspot discount)
Stopped at St. George Dixie Center Visitors Center to pick up any info on Zion hikes. Great brochure from Narrows Adventures. Listed the hikes based on how long it would take to complete and if it was worth going to as a sunset hike. 
Checked into Super 8 Hurricaine, UT
Hiked Emerald Ponds
Canyon Overlook for sunset - advise to get there early as parking is limited to about 12 spots or so. 
Dinner at Meme's

Fri 4/27 

9a-1p Volunteer for Hydra pouch distribution to get discount code for future races
Lunch at Oscar's - large portions
Hiked Hidden Canyon
Dinner Taco Bell 

Sat 4/28 

4:45a - Departed Hurricane to get to Mesa Rd Start line, got there at 5:30a. 
7a - Start of the race
11a - Departed the race and went to get lunch at Meme's
1p - Hiked Angel's landing
Dinner - Pizza & Noodles 

Sun 4/29 

7a - Departed Hurricane to get breakfast, coffee at River Roasting Company 
8/9a - Inside Zion, browsed the gift shop, got rental gear (ie water shoes, walking stick near the pedestrian entrance) 
11a - Started Riverwalk/Narrows - trifeca picture
4p - Returned to the bus stop
5p - at the visitors center
6:20p - Canyon Overlook for the trifeca picture
7:20p - Drove to entrance to take pic of the Zion Entrance sign
8:40p - Kolob Canyon Overlook ( 1 hr away from Zion entrance)
Dinner Taco Bell

Mon 4/30 

Breakfast/Coffee at River Roasting Co
Gas & Drive back to Vegas 2 hrs 15 mins 
Went to 7 Magic Mountains (10 min south of Vegas) 
Buffet at Caesar's - Parking is now $12, 0-4 hrs
